Natya

The art of drama or dance, encompassing acting, music, and storytelling.

Natya Veda

The “fifth Veda” created by Brahma, integrating elements from the four Vedas to create an instructive and enjoyable art form.

Bharati Vritti

Vocal or speech-based expression.

Arabhati Vritti

Virile and forceful expression.

Saattavtii Vritti

Emotional and sentiment-driven expression.

Kaisikii Vritti

Delicate and graceful expression, introduced by the Apsaras.

Asura Parajaya

The first play produced by Bharata’s troupe, depicting the defeat of the demons.

Ranga Devatas

The deities responsible for protecting the different aspects of the theatre and production.

Purvaranga Vidhi

Rituals and ceremonies performed before the start of a play to ensure the protection and success of the performance.

Jarjara

Indra’s flag-staff, used to protect the performance from demonic interference.

The theatre, built by Viswakarma, designed to host performances without disruptions.
